I recently had this blinking light issue with my Voltas AC and wasn’t sure what was wrong, so I looked it up online. During my research, I found that there are several reasons for Voltas AC blinking, such as faulty installation, dirty air filters, frozen evaporator coils, a faulty compressor, delayed maintenance, low refrigerant levels, insufficient air circulation, and so on. I agree with Monali, as she explained most of these points. However, I would like to add one more point that is electrical issues to her list.

Why Voltas AC Indicator Blinking?

Voltas AC indicator can blink because of electrical issues.

It could be a tripped breaker, or maybe some loose wires. You need to just switch the power off completely and wait a few minutes before turning it back on. This can sometimes fix small electrical problems. I gave it a shot, and surprisingly, it worked!

But if the blinking continues, the advice is to get a technician to check it out. Trying to fix electrical components yourself can be risky and might make things worse.

I knew something wasn’t right with my new Voltas AC when I noticed that a light constantly blinking in my AC. I quickly called an AC technician and asked why Voltas AC light blinking. He told me that an AC is designed to notify us whenever there is an issue in the system which is why it blinks. He explained all of the different reasons why it may be blinking. I will tell you all the probable reasons for your Voltas AC cool light blinking. So, please keep reading.

What are the Causes of Voltas Window AC Cool Light Blinking?

  • Faulty Installation Process
The first thing to do in this situation is to look up the error code in the instruction manual and try to figure out why the light is blinking. I would advise calling a qualified technician to identify the issue and fix it if there's an installation problem.
  • Dirty Air Filters
Your air filters may become clogged with dust, pollen, pet dander, and other debris if you haven't cleaned or replaced them in a while. The system will eventually overheat as a result of the restricted airflow, which may cause Voltas window AC or Voltas split AC light blinking.
  • Frozen Evaporator Coils
The evaporator coils start to frost over when they get too cold. This restricts the airflow, making your air conditioner work harder than usual to move cool air around.
  • Low Level of Refrigerant
Your AC light blinking may potentially be a sign that your unit is short on refrigerant. Your system struggles to absorb heat when there is insufficient refrigerant, which further strains various AC components.
  • A faulty compressor
The compressor aids in the process of heat absorption as well as refrigerant circulation. Your AC light will blink when it begins to malfunction.
  • Delayed Maintenance
It may begin to exhibit wear and tear if you have not been taking care of its maintenance. This may cause the AC unit's green light to flash.
  • Insufficient Air Circulation
The AC light will blink if there is insufficient air circulation in the house and within the unit. Fortunately, fixing the majority of the problems that could be causing the red and green lights on AC unit components to flash is simple. These are the reasons why Voltas AC light blinking.
