Summary
If your AC has weak airflow, first check the air filter, which is the most common culprit and can be washed for split ACs. Next, verify the indoor blower fan is working properly, check for ice on the evaporator coil that may need thawing in fan mode, assess refrigerant levels which require a technician if low, and ensure the outdoor unit isn't blocked by dust or debris.

Okay so if you are worried about what should I do if my AC airflow is very weak I do have the answer for you. You should check your air filter, indoor unit’s blower fan and more. I will tell you what to do in detail.

What to do if Your AC’s Airflow is Weak

  1. The first thing to check is your air filter. This is honestly the most common culprit. If you haven't cleaned or replaced it in a few months, dust and debris build up and the air just can't pass through properly.

  2. For split ACs, the filter is usually behind the front panel and you can wash it yourself under running water. Let it dry fully before putting it back.

  3. Next, check whether the indoor unit's blower fan is working fine. If it sounds weak or is making a rattling noise, the fan motor might be struggling and that'll kill your airflow immediately.

  4. Ice on the evaporator coil is also a thing to check. If your AC is too cold or the filter was blocked for too long, the coil can freeze up and restrict airflow completely. Switch to fan mode for an hour to let it thaw.

  5. Low refrigerant levels can also cause weak airflow. If your AC is cooling poorly along with weak airflow, this is likely the issue and you'll need a technician.

  6. Make sure the outdoor unit isn't blocked by dust, leaves or debris as poor condenser airflow affects the entire system.

This is all. I hope this will be useful.
