Burari is a locality in Central Delhi which has been of importance since a long time. It is famous for its Mahabharata era temple called Khandeswar Mandir dedicated to Shiva. It is said to be a place where Arjuna prayed to Shiva before burning the KhandavPrastha (later known as Indraprastha) Van.
