A month ago, I noticed faint stains and fingerprints dulling the appearance of my house walls. I did not want to damage the paint or finish, so I researched what to mix with water to clean walls effectively. I found that when cleaning walls, you can use a paste of baking soda, a few drops of dish soap, or white vinegar in warm water.

What is the Best Mixture for Cleaning Walls?

1. Baking Soda and Water:

You can use baking soda with warm water to clean stubborn stains on the walls. All you need to do is:

  • Combine baking soda with a tiny amount of water.

  • Dab it lightly on the affected area.

  • Finally, wipe it off after a few minutes.

2. Mild Dish Soap Solution:

This is the simplest hack for getting rid of dust, dirt, and mild stains daily. To use it, you must:

  • Pour roughly a teaspoon of liquid dish soap into a bucket of warm water.

  • Finally, use a sponge and gently wipe down the walls.

3. White Vinegar and Water:

You can use this solution for lifting tougher spots, like grease or crayon marks, without harming the wall. All you have to do is:

  • To a quart of warm water, add approximately 1/4 cup of white vinegar.

  • Wipe the wall with a damp microfiber towel soaked in this solution.

I tried a baking soda and water solution on my wall, and it actually worked. However, you must hire a professional cleaning service to make your wall look brand new without any streaks or marks.
