A drawing room should always be spacious. After all, that is the welcoming area of the house, be it for guests or yourselves. If it is small, you will feel suffocated or congested, so try to allot as much space as possible to your drawing room. When we were building our new house, my father also discussed with the builder what is the standard size of drawing room. He wanted to make it the largest room, so it was necessary to know the size. But the size of the drawing room will also depend on the overall size of the apartment. So let me share some details about it.

The standard size of a drawing room should be 10 feet * 12 feet but it can go up to 20 feet * 26 feet. The standard size of the drawing room will actually depend on the total size of the house and must be planned accordingly. If you are planning to have a drawing room just to sit in, you can allot a small space, but if you want to spend most of the time relaxing on your couch, allot as much space as possible to your drawing room.

I personally believe drawing rooms should always be vibrant. It should make you feel energetic. But if you want to have a calm drawing room, you can always paint your room with soft colours.
