How to Apply for a Home Loan?

You need to start by comparing home loan options offered by banks and housing finance companies. Look for: interest rates (fixed vs. floating), loan tenure, processing fees, prepayment charges, customer service reviews.

Most lenders have online eligibility calculators. Criteria typically include:

  1. Age (usually 21 to 65 years)

  2. Employment type (salaried or self-employed)

  3. Monthly income

  4. Credit score (750+ preferred)

  5. Existing financial obligations

Commonly required documents include:

  1. Identity & address proof (Aadhaar, PAN, passport)

  2. Income proof (salary slips, ITRs, bank statements)

  3. Property documents (sale agreement, title deed)

  4. Employment details or business proof (for self-employed)

You can apply either online via the lender’s website or financial marketplaces, or offline by visiting a branch.Fill in personal, income, and property details. Submit the documents along with a processing fee.

The lender checks your credit score and report, verify your income and employment, and conduct a legal and technical evaluation of the property

I recently applied for a house loan and had no trouble doing it by following these instructions:
  • I visited a

  • I provided the property details.

  • Finally, I submitted the application by uploading the required documents.

  • As soon as I submitted the form, the bank began to check every document I submitted to them.
  • The verification process for my home loan application is under process. After this, the bank will give me a sanction letter once my home loan application has been approved.
  • Following the above step, the bank will do my property verification.
  • I will receive a formal agreement letter from the bank after they are satisfied with the verification.
