In short and easy words this is known as what is public housing program.

Since I live in Mumbai I want to talk about the MHADA Lottery scheme a little bit.
For housing assistance for the people belonging to the Lower Income Group, the Government of Maharashtra introduced housing schemes in the lottery system. Based on this, people win the lottery every year and purchase a house at a low cost.
Every year the MHADA Boarding House has different eligibility criteria. MHADA Lottery details for Pune Board are out so I will share with you the details of the same with you. Pune MHADA lottery registration is on so you can apply till December 16, 2021.
You can apply if you are above the age of 18.
Must have a PAN card.
Must possess the domicile certificate.
You can apply for LIG flats if you fall under Rs. 25,001 to Rs 50,000 per month income bracket.
You can apply for MIG flats if you fall under Rs. 50,000 to Rs. 75,000 per month income bracket.
You can apply for LIG flats if you fall under Rs. 75,001 or above per month income bracket.

Passport
Birth certificate
Driving license
Voter ID card
Aadhaar card
PAN card
In order to provide affordable and quality homes to the low and mid-income segment buyers in Pune and Pimpri Chinchwad area, the Maharashtra Housing and Area Development Authority (MHADA) is likely to come up with a lottery on Diwali.
As per the report by ABP Maza, more than 3,000 houses (flats) are available in the area. As per the information by Nitin Mane, Chief Officer, Pune MHADA, about one and a half thousand of these houses are from 20 per cent and are from reputed, big builders' projects.
