Probate is a legal process of determining whether a will written by a person is valid or invalid and it is also a process to identify the authenticity of the will. Now, what is probate of a will? To have a better understanding let us understand the meaning of probate and the meaning of will: Probate   Probate is known as the distribution of properties after the death of the owner of the property which is done by the court under legal investigation. If a person has left the will, then the court will distribute the property according to that. If not in that case the court will make the decisions considering human rights and property laws. Will   A will is a legal document or the last will of a person. Will describes who the will holder of the property. And in what ratio the property is be distributed after the death of a person who made the will.  Who can apply for probate  An executor can apply for probate in court. If the person who made the will has not appointed an executor then an application to the court for letters of administration must be applied by the person who is intending to probate the will.
