This is where most people (including myself) are shocked. The standard price rarely includes everything. 

• Wall drilling or core cutting

  (Rs. 200 to Rs. 400 per hole)

Fees for drilling holes in walls to accommodate pipelines and wiring.

• Drain pipe extension

  (Rs. 80 to Rs. 150 per meter)

In larger rooms or complex layouts, drain pipe extensions are necessary to move water from the indoor unit to an appropriate drainage point.

• Extra copper pipe

  (Rs. 300 to Rs. 500 per meter)

Required when the distance between indoor and outdoor AC units exceeds the mandatory limit. Longer piping results in higher material and installation costs.

• Outdoor unit stand

  (Rs. 500 to Rs. 1,200)

It is a strong base for securely placing the outside unit on the ground or a wall, and prevents damage and vibration. 

In my case, the installation fee increased to around Rs. 3,000 after the technician added piping and a bracket. Hope you found my answer helpful.

Typically, the installation of window AC units by external service providers costs approximately Rs. 1,049, whereas the installation costs for split AC are approximately Rs. 1,769.
