CREDAI has an aim to transform the real estate game in India by making the Indian Real Estate organized as well as progressive. This body works with stakeholders, government authorities, policy makers, investors, financial companies, consumers and real estate players to safeguard consumer interests and promote fair trade in the real estate market.
Approximately 20000 members are a part of CREDAI across 21 states.
What is the role of CREDAI?CREDAI plays an important role in the real estate market. Here are some key roles recognized by the body.
- To bring all the private developers together on a common platform. This is done by organizing various events, workshops, discussions and seminars.
- Any issues in the real estate market from the developer’s end are brought to the fore by CREDAI in government forums. It is a single point of contact for private real estate developers in the market.
- CREDAI ensures that there is enough demand and supply of real estate in the market. It further promotes the developers to follow ethical practices and serve consumers with utmost transparency.
- The body plays a key role in grooming, and preparing the developers to further their real estate game and establish good working relations with customers to serve them better.
CREDAI allows developers’ associations to be a member of the organization across the country. Individual developers cannot apply for CREDAI membership. In order to obtain CREDAI membership, the individual developers and builders must join city or state level developers’ associations first.

The CREDAI (Confederation of Real Estate Developers' Association of India) is an association formed by builders and developers in India to self-regulate the business of real estate development. This association has more than 8,500 member builders and developers through 112 member associations with representation in every major state and city of India.
