Hello Riya. The Punjab and Sind Bank home loan documents have been shared by Ms Amanda in her answer. As a bank employee, I can tell you that the list is correct. However, she has missed out on some of the common documents applicable for all kinds of loans, including the home loan. I will share the lsit of those documents with you, so you’ll have the complete document list.


Documents in Addition to Home Loan Ones from Punjab and Sink Bank


Here is the list of documents:


  1. Completely filled application form and signed

  2. Age proof

  3. Address & Identity proof

  4. Two passport size photographs

  5. Income Proof: The income proof has 2 salary classes:

  6. Salaried Class:

  7. Original/Certified copy of the latest salary slips for the past 3 months.

  8. ITR/ Form No. 16 of last 3 years (Wherever applicable)

  9. Business/Other individuals:

  10. Proof of Business & address.

  11. ITRs and Audited/Certified Balance Sheets (Wherever applicable) for the last 3 years of business/activity.

  12. Loan account statement for last six months (if availed from any other Bank/FII)

  13. Guarantor forms along with net worth proof / income proof. (if applicable)

  14. Guarantor’s IT returns of last 2 years.

  15. Personal Asset & Liability statement

  16. Bank Account Statement for the last 6/12 months. (in case of Other Bank)

  17. Proof of income of spouse/parents/earning children, whichever is applicable, where the same is to be considered for determining loan amount/repaying capacity, if applicable.

  18. Bio-data covering educational qualifications, age, job experience, nature of profession/

business etc., with necessary proof.

  1. Undertaking from the employer for remittance of monthly installment, wherever feasible

Before I took out a loan from Punjab and Sind bank last year, I had zero idea about what is the process of a home loan or what documents are needed. I called the customer support of the bank to learn and asked them about the process as well as the required Punjab and Sind Bank home loan documents. The bank told me about all the documents that I needed to provide. I have added the said list of documents below. 

What are the Punjab and Sind Home Loan Documents Required?

The documents list provided by the bank is pretty straightforward, and I have added those below. 

  • Properly filled out loan application along with two passport-size photos. 

  • ID proof: PAN card, Aadhaar card, Passport, Driving License.

  • Address proof: Utility bills, Aadhaar card, Driving License.

  • Income proof: Salary slips, Form 16, IT returns, P&L statement and balance sheet. 

  • Copy of approved map/plan of proposed construction/ purchase.

  • Permission from the competent authority for the construction of a flat/ house.

  • Agreement for sale/ sale deed

  • Proof of margin/advance payments made for buying the residential unit.

Here are all the documents needed for applying for a home loan in Punjab and Sind 

  • A copy of the approved map/plan of proposed construction/purchase.

  • Permission from the competent authority for the construction of flat/house

  • Proof of advance/margin payments made for the purchase of the residential unit.

  • An allotment letter from the co-operative society/association of apartment owners.

  • An agreement for sale/sale deed/detailed cost estimate from the architect/engineer for the property to be constructed.

  • Development Authorities/ others.

  • Other documents depending upon –

  1. Property to be purchased directly from the builder (ready / under construction).

  2. Purchase in resale.

  3. Direct sale by any development authority.

  4. Property belonging to a registered co-operative housing society.

  5. Construction of house on a separate plot of land.
