We have a property in mhada Mumbai...need to change ownership due to death of father ....and. It's a joint property ...one is alive ....n we want to release from both n t/ f it to the son as per registered will. Pls confirm the procedure....as we are living in Delhi ...can we release from the one who is alive in Delhi as she is senior citizen.process ..pls share

  1. Since one of the joint owners is alive, the transfer of the whole property can only be done if the other owner agrees and signs the NOC. However, to transfer the share of the deceased, the transfer will be made according to the will.

  2. Such transfer can be made only in the jurisdiction of the location of the property.
