I believe that Diya removes darkness and invites positive energy. On the other hand, the Tulsi plant has many medicinal properties; in the Hindu religion, we consider the Tulsi plant God. Therefore, as a thank you, we can light a Diya in the evening and pray to the Tulsi plant. However, we should not keep the Tulsi plant close to the Diya as the plant can catch fire and burn. We should keep a distance between Diya and Tulsi as a safety measure.
