Hi there, I believe that Diya removes darkness and invites positive energy. On the other hand, the Tulsi plant has many medicinal properties; in the Hindu religion, we consider the Tulsi plant God. Therefore, as a thank you, we can light a Diya in the evening and pray to the Tulsi plant. However, we should not keep the Tulsi plant close to the Diya as the plant can catch fire and burn.
