There is no provision as such regarding the changing of the name, rather it can be transferred in someone else’s name. In this case, even if the name is not changed, you remain to be the sole owner of the property. The property was gifted so it will be considered as ‘Stridhan’.
Still if you want to change the name, try getting it done in the Sub-Registrar’s office.
