Last month, when it started raining heavily, I was able to see wet marks on the interior of the walls. I didn’t know how to solve it and thus called my brother-in-law and narrated the whole thing. He suggested me to use Asian Paints Hydroloc. Following that, I asked him asian paints hydrolock how to use it. Here is what he told me.

How to use Hydrolock Asian Paints?

He told me that there are two processes, and those are

In Case of Damp Surface

  • Prepare the surface by removing the putty till the plaster.

  • Then, he told me to apply the first coat of Hydroloc at 10% dilution.

  • He suggested me to let it dry for 6-8 hours.

  • After drying, he told me to apply the second coat of paint and let that dry for another 6-8 hours. But this time, he told me to avoid diluting the paint.

In Case Of Surface Without Dampness

  • He told me to remove the existing putty till the plaster level from the skirting to the affected area.

  • Then, he asked me to apply one coat of Hydroloc paint without dilution.

  • Following that I was asked to let it dry for 6-8 hours.

And that’s what he told me about asian paints hydrolock how to use it. I hope this helps.

I recently discovered some interior waterproofing issues such as efflorescence, and dampness. I consulted a painter who suggested to me about the Asian Paints SmartCare Hydroloc Xtreme, an efficient waterproofing solution. I’ve used this product and can help you with your query, Asian Paints Hydrolock how to use it.

How to Use Hydrolock Asian Paints?

I learned that this is a film-forming interior waterproofing solution that requires only one component and is readily usable.

  • The surface that is going to be treated needs to be clean, and devoid of any loose plaster, powder or oil. Replastering is advised for surfaces that are brittle and cracking. It is best to let the masonry surface to cure before applying.

  • Putty that has already been applied must be removed until the plaster is level from the skirting to the afflicted region, extending an additional foot on all sides of the affected area.

  • It is advised to use a brush to apply SmartCare Hydroloc Xtreme to plaster in order to ensure a homogeneous coating.

  • First coat: Apply 10% dilution SmartCare Hydroloc Xtreme with forced coverage of 2.98 to 3.36 sq.m/L from skirting to afflicted region, plus an extra 1 foot around affected area on all sides. Give it six to eight hours to dry.

  • Apply a second coat of SmartCare Hydroloc Xtreme (without diluting it) perpendicular to the first coat, with a coverage of 2.98 to 3.36 sq. m/L. Give it six to eight hours to dry.

This is how to use Asian Paints Hydrolock.
