How to update my new mobile number in Aadhar?

I updated my mobile number in Aadhar by visiting the Aadhar enrolment office. Here is all you need to do to update your mobile number in Aadhaar offline:
  • go to the nearby Aadhaar Enrolment Centre
  • fill in the relevant form
  • submit the form
  • authenticate your details by providing biometrics
  • pay the required fee(usually it is Rs 50)
  • get the acknowledgement receipt
You will be notified about the update on your registered mobile number or you can also visit Aadhaar portal and check it. I recently learned that it can be done online as well. You have to:
  • visit Indian Postal Service website link
  • fill in all the details name, address, mobile number and more
  • choose ‘PPB- Aadhaar Service’ as the Service
  • select UIDAI-Mobile/Email to Aadhaar linking/update
  • request OTP and enter it next
  • confirm the service request and get the reference number
