We all know how important Aadhaar Card has become in India. You are required to link your mobile number with your Aadhaar card if you want to avail a number of services and authenticate several documents. I can understand you may want to change your linked mobile number if you have lost your previous one or due to any other reason. Without wasting your time, I’ll tell you how to change mobile number in Aadhar card online.

I want you to know that you can’t change your mobile number on your Aadhaar Card online. You are required to go to the nearest Aadhaar Seva Kendra or Aadhaar enrolment center to change the mobile number.

• After that, go to a nearby Aadhaar center and fill out the Aadhaar correction form. In my case, I had to go to the center at 7:00 am to get the form and the officials there were only giving out a limited number of forms.

• Next, fill in the Aadhaar correction form and specify the mobile number that you want to update in the Aadhaar card

• Submit the form to the officials, give your biometrics for authentication, and pay the required fees.

• After that, the officials will give you an acknowledgment slip that includes URN (Update Request Number).

• This Update Request Number can be used to track the Aadhaar updation status.

• Once your mobile no. is registered with Aadhaar, you’ll start receiving OTPs for the verifications of documents linked to your Aadhaar card.

• You can also call UIDAI’s toll-free no. 1947 to check the status of your Aadhaar update.
