Hi Naina,

My house was dry-walled recently, and the plaster from the walls has damaged many of my floor tiles. I'd tried scrubbing before. I used to think it was gone when it was wet, but after it dried, it looked to be imprinted. That is when I started asking for answers on how to remove pop from tiles from my friends and family members and got to know a number of ways of correctly cleaning stained floor tiles.

How to remove PoP stains from tiles?

Plaster is soluble in water, so even if it dries first, it should be easy to clean up. If the problem persists, the texture of your tile could be to blame. If you follow the procedures below, you should notice a difference.

You'll require

  • Water that is extremely hot

  • Dish soap that is mild

  • Clothes to be cleaned

  • Brush for dentures in a bucket

  • Towels that are clean

Steps to Remove the PoP Stain:

  1. Fill the bucket halfway with hot water.

  2. To make a moderate, sudsy solution, add enough detergent.

  3. Place the washcloth(s) in the water and submerge them.

  4. With a washcloth, wipe the soiled area of the floor, leaving plenty of water on the tile. If necessary, work in small sections.

  5. Allow at least five minutes for the hot sudsy water to soak in before scrubbing with the denture brush. A denture brush is great for this job since it has short, robust bristles with superior scrubbing strength for rough regions.

  6. Using a towel, dry the area.

  7. If required, repeat the process.

These are the steps I followed for cleaning stained floor tiles at my home. Allow the water to soak into the floor for a longer amount of time, overnight if feasible, if you're still not noticing a significant change. Allowing moisture to permeate and soften every trace of the plaster is crucial to removing it, which can be tough even with minimal texture on the tile.
