They used an epoxy filler to fill in the damaged area. Then, after smoothening the area, they left it to dry for some time.
Covering
Once the filling was done, the surface was smooth enough to cover. Then, they painted the surface with the same colour as the sink, off white. Meanwhile, they told us it is important to choose a painting that will withstand the use of water around the surface.
