To break down the slime accumulated on your sink, pour about half a cup of thick liquid paste baking soda directly into the drain. Follow by adding half cup of vinegar into the drain. Both of these ingredients create a fizzy reaction that helps dislodge the sludge.
Leave these substances to sit in the drain for about 30 minutes. During this process, you can boil some water on the stove and pour it down the drain to flush the loosened residues.
Scour the sink surface with a scrub brush around the drain and faucet areas to take off the sludge while the concoction is still working. If you still notice blockages, you may need to use a drain auger to clean them out.
Cleanse the sink completely with warm water to make sure proper drainage.
Following these steps regularly to clean your sink and using a drain strainer to hold any hair strands or dirt before it goes down the drain will help maintain a clean bathroom sink.
