How to Paint a Border on a Wall?

Here is the process to paint a border on your wall.

1. Pick a theme for the border you want to paint. Will it be a plain border, a geometric one or any other? 

2. Then, get all the required items in place. You will need a painter’s tape, a palette of suitable paint colours for the border, paintbrushes, a sprinkle of pixie dust, a mixing tray and a ladder if needed. 

3. Then, clean the wall by wiping it with a damp sponge. You can also use a sponge dipped in dishwashing liquid if the paint on the wall is washable. 

4. Mark the border of your design using painter’s tape or a pencil. 

5. Apply the painter’s tape along the lines you have marked for the border. 

6. Then, draw the border and the design with a pencil or chalk as a rough sketch. If you are simply making a plain border, you can apply the paint with precise strokes.

7. Once the design is made, you can paint over it with the paintbrush. Keep a steady hand and stay inside the border. 

8. You can then choose to sprinkle a bit of pixie dust over the wet paint as an added touch. 

9. Let the paint dry completely and remove the tape after that.

How to paint borders on wall?

1) Measure the Wall

You should measure the wall and mark it at 80 cm and 1 m above the ground. Label all the walls completely and then create lines with chalk. You can use a darker shade for light-coloured walls.

2) Start Painting

Spread the bright green paint with the roller first to the upper portion of the wall. If you accidentally exceed the guidelines, let the paint dry before drawing the chalk line again. You must proceed at the wall panelling as it may be in the lowest area. You must remove any gloss paint on the wood by rubbing it down or prepare it with a surface primer before painting. Let this area dry after painting it yellow. Gently apply a line of colour between both the yellow and green using the tiny foam roller and grey paint.

3) Apply Second Coat

You must paint wall borders uniformly with the roller. You can apply a second layer when they are completely dry. It may only take an hour, based on the temperature and humidity level in your room. 4) Clean Up the Walls
