We all know relocation is not an easy task, especially when you’re all by yourself. There are a lot of things that go behind moving to a new place. Since I didn’t hire any moving company, I asked my brother to help me with a few things, so it became bearable. Here are some tips for you if you’re moving without any professional movers.
The most important thing about relocation is how well you plan the shifting. From packing to unloading, write everything down and keep a good track of it.
Once you plan everything, get all the supplies. These will include carton boxes, furniture cover, bubble wraps, heavy duty tapes, mattress covers, scissors, tool kits, etc. Make sure you have everything in hand before you start packing.
While packing, fill some papers in the empty carton boxes before you keep things. My brother advised me this, to avoid friction. And, all the delicate items like cups, crockery, and glass items should be properly bubble wrapped.
Finally, it’s time to move. Since my brother was there and he had an SUV, it got easier for me to load everything. If you have a lot of heavy items to carry, it’d be better if you hire a professional mover.
