Temple is a sacred place where we worship our gods. It helps to bring happiness, health, and prosperity to the home and its occupants. Even though a separate pooja room is usually preferred, this is sometimes difficult in places where there is space crunch. In such cases, you can make a small mandir as per your needs. Let me tell you how to make mandir at home. Things to Keep in Mind When Installing a Mandir at Home:

Windows and doors should open in the east or north Idols shouldn’t be kept facing each other

  How Should a Mandir at Home be Constructed as Per Vastu Don’t place the mandir directly on the floor. Instead, keep it on a pedestal or raised platform. You should not construct a mandir using acrylic or glass as it should be made of wood or marble. Do not clutter the temple. The photos or idols placed in the mandir shouldn't be damaged or cracked. Design Ideas to Make Mandir at Small Homes:
  • You can convert an empty corner of the dining room into a puja space with the help of neat pedestals.
  • You can customize a kitchen cabinet to make it work as a mandir.
  • You can use a vacant shelf or a small corner in the living room to make a mandir.
  • You can even use open shelves to arrange a small puja space for placing the idols.
How to Make Thermocol Mandir at Home Materials Needed: Cardboard box 3-LED light Adhesive Stickers Scissors Paper towel rolls Adhesive shelf liner (Brown) Two White foam boards Procedure:
  • First, get a cardboard box. You can choose the size as per your needs.
  • Then you are required to leave 1 horizontal flap and cut the rest.
  • Measure every side of the cardboard and cut the adhesive paper accordingly.
  • After that straighten the flap and cut the foam board accordingly.
  • Stick the adhesive papers on the foam board as well as on the sides.
  • Stick the foam board at the bottom with the help of Fevicol.
  • Then, measure the paper towel rolls and cut them to fit in the box. Stick adhesive paper to them.
  • Place rolls wherever you like and stick them using Fevicol.
  • Use attractive stickers to decorate the mandir
  • Put the LED light inside the mandir.
  • Finally, your mandir is ready.
