Hey there. I will be able to tell you how to make bedroom cabinet. See this is quite a lengthy and time taking process. If you have dealt with this kind of work before, only then should you undertake such a project. Otherwise, it is wise to call a professional to get the job done. Let me get started with the process.

Steps to Build a Bedroom Closet

  1. Begin by cutting down the plywood sheets to a manageable size. Once you cut them down, tool them over to the table saw.

  2. You must build your frame first and then the drawer.

  3. Move on to building the frame. Locate the parts to build the frame. Ensure the pocket holes are hidden.

  4. You can use wood glue as well as you begin to join the parts.

  5. Once you have put the frame together, add the dividers and back. The distance from the base depends on the amount of space your shoes need.

  6. Locate the next shelf with the drawer enclosure. The drawer cover must fit within the opening having the same space around the sides, the top and the bottom.

  7. Use the middle divider to set the spacing for the top shelf. Add glue to the joint and then work the divider into its place.

  8. You can then add the back. Apply wood glue to the surface where the plywood backing is going to sit.

  9. Then, add brad nails to the top and bottom. Add clamps and weights.

  10. Move on to building the drawers. The shelves are only built of two parts: a sheet of plywood and the trim to cover the visible plywood layers.

  11. To assemble the drawer, glue the joints. It can be difficult to keep the drawer square but a band clamp will help.

  12. For a finished look, you can use an iron-on edge band. Apply the edge band to all the visible ends. Use a dowel to plug the holes left from the pocket holes to improve the appearance.

  13. Next, sand down the whole wardrobe. Clean the wardrobe with a rag to wipe away residue due to sanding. Paint the cabinets and the hardware.

  14. Lastly, install the hardware.

This is all.
