Here are the steps you can follow:

1. Calculate the needed amount of stone. You must deduct around 1 square foot for each linear foot of corners. 

2. Consider the size of the joint between the stones to have a rough idea of how much mortar you’ll need.

3. Next comes surface preparation. We had masonry walls, and stone veneer can be installed directly on them. But, you will have to check for the wall at your house. If there are any release agents on the surface, you must etch the concrete surface using an etching agent. Make sure the surface is clean.

4. Apply the mortar next. Mix one part S or N cement and 2.25 parts sand. 

5. Once the mixture is ready, cover the entire surface in a ½ to ¾ inch thick layer. 

6. Let the coat dry for at least a day before you start installing the stone veneer. 

7. Begin to install the stone veneer on your walls. Apply a ½ inch thick layer of mortar on the back of each stone piece and onto the scratch coat. 

8. Ensure you apply the mix in small regions so the mortar does not dry out. Once you apply mortar, begin installing these pieces. 

9. Use the same mortar mix for the scratch coat and bonding mortar to fill in the gaps between each stone piece.

• Layout Design: Arrange the stone veneer pieces on the ground to create your desired pattern. This allows you to picture the layout and make necessary adjustments before adhering them to the wall.

• Apply Mortar: Using a trowel, apply a generous amount of mortar to the back of each stone veneer piece. Ensure the mortar covers the entire back surface for a strong bond.

• Install Stone Veneer: Press the stone veneer firmly onto the scratch coat, starting from the bottom and working your way up. Hold each piece in place for a few seconds to secure it.

• Fill Gaps: Once all pieces are in place, use a grout bag to fill in any gaps between the stones with mortar. Smooth the mortar joints with a jointing tool.

• Clean and Seal: Wipe away extra mortar with a damp sponge. Once dry, apply a stone sealer to protect the veneer and enhance its appearance.
