What are the Steps to Fix Acrylic Wall Panels?
- First, wipe the wall thoroughly. Remove any dust, dirt, or small debris. Basically, you have to clean, dry, and smooth the wall so that the panel can adhere properly.
- Remove any protective sheet that may be on the back of the panel.
- Next, use rubbing alcohol to remove any debris or grease from the rear of the panel.
- Inspect the wall. Verify that the wall is solid enough to support the acrylic panel. If the panel is large or heavy, provide temporary support to keep it stable while you fix it.
- Apply an appropriate acrylic adhesive, silicone, or double-sided foam tape to the back of the panel. Always follow the instructions on the package.
- Fix the panel. Hold the panel at approximately a 45-degree angle.
- Match it to the appropriate position on the wall.
- Then slowly press it in place.
- Use a spirit level to ensure that the panel is straight.
- Allow it to dry. Do not move the panel after it has been fixed.
- Allow the adhesive or silicone to dry for the period specified by the manufacturer.
- Foam tape may also require several hours to adhere firmly.
- Once the panel is tightly attached, take off the protective sheet from the front. This will highlight the clean, shining surface. It will also prevent scratches or marks.
