If the father is not alive, you can obtain a fresh
legal heir certificate
in your name and that of your siblings. You can then submit an application before the revenue authorities (Tahsildar) stating that the property was in the name of your father and he has passed away. To obtain a legal heir certificate you will need to enclose a list of
documents
like a copy of settlement deed, death certificate and legal heir certificate.
