These kinds of hooks are perfect for small, lighter bookshelves. This was just what I needed for my floating bookshelf. Make sure you don’t overload the shelf with heavy books as they may not hold them strongly.

Nowadays, there are many Adhesive strips available for heavyweight projects.

2 main types of adhesive strips:

They attach directly to the wall and the frame using an interlocking material, such as velcro. Just clean the area on the wall and the frame, apply the strip to the frame, interlock the adhesive, and attach your frame to the wall. It can hold up to 4-5 kg objects.

The adhesive hooks feature a flat back, and the adhesive strip is attached to the hook and the wall. After that, keep the wire from the frame on the hook to hang the frame or picture. Don’t forget to clean the area that you want to use, and place the hook to the wall firmly. Let it set for some time before hanging the object. It can hold up to 6-7 kg objects depending upon the number of strips you use.

They are designed specifically for drywall. Just punch a tiny hole through the wall and slide the metal end inside the wall until you reach the hook’s end. After that, flip the hook upside down to keep it in place. A single hook can even hold up to 68 kgs depending on thickness and the length of the metal.
