How to hang curtains around a window air conditioner?

I have tried disguising my window AC in many ways like using a seat or anything with the back to the window AC. However, my favourite way is to use curtains and drapes that match the home decor. Let me tell you how to hang window air conditioner curtain:

• Hang long drapes from the window’s top to the floor. Hang 2 drapery panels on the window, and pull the sides back with drapery hooks or ties. The hooks should be sitting about halfway down the ACs so the AC’s top corners are covered by the fabric and blower isn’t. Give a little extra length to the drapes for creating swag above the hook. This will allow the drapes to puddle slightly on the AC’s top for a more visually appealing look. During the colder seasons, you can close the drapes and hide the AC completely.

• Hang cafe curtains about 1-inch above your window AC so they hang over it, covering it. While using the AC, you can pull the curtain panels to the side, so the air can blow into the room. When they sit on the AC’s side, the curtains create a beautiful frame. When they’re closed, they hide the AC completely.

• Instead of traditional blinds, you can attach Roman shades to the window. These are fabric window coverings that raise and lower like blinds, adding colour and blocking light to your window spaces. Use a bold pattern or bright colour. Rest the bottom of the blinds on the AC to make the AC less conspicuous by bringing your eye to the coloured fabric instead. Using Roman shades made of the same material as thermal curtains will help you keep the room warm in winter and cool in summer.
