Lizards creep me out all the time. Even though they help in removing insects, I don't like lizards in my house at all. The lizards are not venomous or harmful in any way so I don't like killing lizards. I put a packet of naphthalene in my cupboard all the time to prevent any insect or lizard attacks. Prick a small hole on the plastic container of the naphthalene balls and put it anywhere in your cupboard. The naphthalene balls in the packets in this way last more than a year.
Pepper Spray
