Hello, I observed limescale on the sink in my kitchen a week ago. Sink is a big and a difficult area to work with. So, I wanted a good solution regarding how to get rid of limescale in sink. I looked online and found a method which thankfully worked. I used lemon juice and vinegar to treat the limescale. Below, you can find the detailed process.

How to Remove Limescale from Kitchen Sink?

Here are the steps that you can follow to remove limescale:

  1. Take a rag or a cloth. Soak it in vinegar or lemon juice and wipe the whole sink with it.

  2. Use a bit of force to remove limescale but be careful not to damage the sink in any way.

  3. You can also squeeze the cloth a bit over the sink to release the solution to act on the limescale directly.

  4. If the limescale still doesn’t come off, try rubbing a half cut lemon on the whole sink.

  5. Rinse with fresh water and wipe using a dry cloth to remove solution residue.

So, these are the steps you can take. I hope you now understand how to get rid of limescale on kitchen sink.

I can suggest an easy solution to how to get rid of limescale on sink. You can use some lemon juice or vinegar and baking soda paste or a cleaning solution to get rid of limescale. I prefer using lemon juice and can help you out with the process. Just grab some lemons, a brush, a few clean clothes and a bucket of water and follow the process that I am sharing next.

How to Clean Limescale from Sink?

Limescale is not that hard to remove so here is a homely way to clean it. You will need to

  • Cut a lemon into half and scrub the sink with it

  • For hard stains, you will need a few more lemons

  • Sprinkle a bit of baking soda all over the sink

  • Let them sit for around 10 minutes

  • Scrub the sink with a brush or a scotch brite

  • Wash the basin with clean water and get rid of the limescale easily

You can replace lemon and baking soda with vinegar and baking soda, or use some cleaning solutions like Harpic. However, I will suggest avoiding market-bought cleaning solutions, as they are hard solutions and might damage the sink.
