Hey. If you are wondering how to get paint off hardwood floors without damaging finish, I have just the right method for you. So I also deal with paint stains and used lemon juice along with rubbing alcohol, that did the job for me pretty well. Let me show you all the steps to remove paint off your hardwood floors using this process.

How to Remove Paint from Wood Floor without Damaging Finish?

  1. Start by making your cleaning solution. Mix 3/4 cup of rubbing alcohol with ¼ cup of lemon juice.

  2. Use a plastic putty knife or another non metallic edge and gently scrape off as much paint as possible. Move the knife in the same direction as the wood grain.

  3. Use an old toothbrush or scrubber and rub the leftover paint away with the cleaning solution.

If the paint stain is still there, use a heat gun. Apply heat and be careful not to linger on any spot for too long. The heat will soften the paint, allowing you to remove it with a putty knife.

This is all from my side. I hope you will find this useful.
