How to get a perfect gloss finish on wood?
Make a solution of 1:1 mineral spirits and gloss in a tray.
Sand the wooden surface
Dust the wooden counter/ furniture with a clean cloth
Apply a coat of the solution
Let it dry
With a brush evenly apply two coats of polyurethane
Once, both the coats have dried
Finally, apply a coat of undiluted gloss to the wooden surface
