You can fix it by melting ice cubes and after 8-10 hours using a sponge or towel to soak the excess water. Now, use a spoon to pull back the fibres of the carpet for a rebound. You should be able to reshape it with the spoon.
I have added the steps for the second method below.
Place a damp towel over the dented area of the carpet.
Next, run an iron on medium/high over the towel for 1-2 minutes. If your iron has a steam function, then you can use that, too.
After that, use your vacuum cleaner to pull the fibres upward.
