I also do tulsi pooja every day at home so let me tell you how to do Tulsi pooja at home daily. Every morning, I clean the area around my Tulsi plant, light a diya, and offer fresh water. I then chant Tulsi mantras while gently circling the plant three times. In the evening, I light incense and offer flowers or a few basil leaves to the deity.

If you want, you can also observe a fast on Thursdays and Ekadashi to seek blessings of Goddess Tulsi, but for daily worship, this process is enough.

Hello Kriti, I know how to do Tulsi pooja daily and can tell you the whole process. I perform the pooja every day at my home.

How to Do Tulasi Pooja at Home?

  1. First, place Tulsi Maharani on a raised platform. The plant should be in a direction where it can receive a good amount of sunlight alongside fresh air.

  2. Chant the mantra three times to offer your salutations. Then, take three incense sticks and a ghee lamp and light them.

  3. Clean your hands and the incense sticks. Take the incense sticks in your right hand and the bell in your left. Start circulating them around Tulsi Maharani.

  4. Use pure water to wash your hands. Follow this up by purifying the incense sticks. Take the bell in your left hand and the incense sticks in your right. Purify Tulsi Maharani using the essence of the bell and incense sticks.

  5. Offer a flower garland and chant Tulsi Mahrani’s praises in a soft tone. Offer flowers at the feet of Tulsi Maharani.

  6. Circle around Tulsi Maharani thrice while you recite the mantra simultaneously.

  7. Chant the Tulsi Maharani mantra three times and offer your final respects to her.

This is the complete pooja process.

I recently moved to my new flat and established a tulsi plant there. Nevertheless, I wasn't sure how to worship tulsi plant at home. My grandmother then explained to me before performing Tulsi pooja at home, you can start by cleaning the Tulsi plant and the area around it. The steps for performing tulsi plant worship have previously been explained by Aman. Moreover, you must see the steps that are most frequently followed below.

Tulsi Plant Pooja Vidhi

Hindus worship the Tulsi plant, also called the holy basil, in a ritual called Tulsi Pooja, also known as Tulsi Vivah. Check out the steps followed by grandmother below:

  • The first thing you must do is take a bath in the morning.

  • Ensure your Tulsi plant is placed in a tidy spot, preferably facing east.

  • Mix gangajal with the normal water in Kalash. Offer water to the Tulsi plant.

  • Use vermilion and put flowers on the plant.

  • Present fruits and sweets to the plant.

  • You can also put some jaggery and unpasteurized milk on the plant.  This usually brings benefits to the household.

  • Light incense sticks or a diya near the plant.

  • Next, recite the Tulsi Stotra or Tulsi Beej Mantra.

  • Put some water again in the Tulsi plant.
