The Slum Rehabilitation Authority (SRA) in Maharashtra aims to improve living conditions for slum dwellers. Here’s how you can transfer an SRA flat:
Lock-in Period: Initially, the beneficiary of an SRA flat cannot buy or sell it for ten years from receiving the possession letter.
Procedure:
Obtain a
No-Objection Certificate (NOC)from the SRA.
Execute and register the
sale deedby paying stamp duty and registration fees.
Submit the stamped sale deed, application form, and SRA NOC to the authority.
The SRA issues NOCs for the buyer, seller, and housing society.
Submit the documents to the housing society and pay the transfer fee.
The share certificate is then stamped, making the buyer a member of the society and the SRA flat owner.
