In India, if a flat is owned jointly by two people and one of the owners passes away, the surviving owner becomes the sole owner of the property . If you are planning to sell your flat, you will need to execute a sale deed that is signed by both the husband and wife. The sale deed must be registered with the Sub-Registrar’s office in Pune.
