Hey Alia. So I know how to design a wardrobe for bedroom. Like I actually made a small wardrobe for my bedroom with a friend, it was a fun DIY project I wanted to do for years.
Begin by measuring your walls first. Take a measuring tape and see the width, height to ceiling and depth. Go for the maximum height always okay like it will give you extra shelf space.
Then choose the kind of doors you want. See material choices and functionality too. Like I went for sliding doors as I had limited space so I saved up on swing space. You can place a mirror on the door to make the room appear larger.
Choose the finish of the door. I went with laminate as it hides fingerprints very well but based on the looks you want, you can see other options.
Now divide the wardrobe into 3 areas. Like the left one can be for hanging clothes. The middle area can have shelves and 3 to 4 pullout drawers for your tops and jeans. The right side can be half hanging and the remaining can be as you want it based on your items.
Then focus on any luxury parts to keep inside like soft close drawers or jewellery trays or stuff.
For ventilation, have aluminium mesh vents or silica packs. This will prevent musty clothes during monsoons.
I hope this helps.

This is how to design a wardrobe for bedroom,
Measure the wall width, ceiling height, and available depth. For most bedrooms, a 2 ft depth works well for hanging clothes.
Decide the wardrobe type. Choose based on your room size. For example, a sliding wardrobe for compact rooms, a hinged wardrobe if you want full access, and an L-shaped wardrobe for corner use.
Don’t start with the outer design. First plan what you need inside. For example, hanging space for shirts, dresses, sarees, shelves for folded clothes, drawers for innerwear, socks, accessories, and a separate section for bags and suitcases.
Use vertical space smartly. Keep daily-use items at eye level. Use top shelves for seasonal clothes, blankets, and extra storage.
Include features that make life easier like soft-close hinges, pull-out drawers, tie/belt holder, jewellery tray, mirror on shutter.
Choose the right material. Use plywood or HDHMR for durability. Avoid low-grade particle boards if you want a long life.
Select finish and colour. Go for light shades in small rooms. Choose laminate, acrylic, or matte finishes based on your budget and cleaning needs.
Keep ventilation in mind. Add a small gap or vents to prevent damp smell and fungus.
A well-designed wardrobe should look good, store more, and stay easy to use daily.
