Summary
To decorate a pooja room wall, consider incorporating elements like mandala art for a calming effect, divine images of deities in elegant frames, and floating shelves for religious texts or holy items. Adding decorative elements such as flower garlands, beaded strings, or torans can create a festive atmosphere. Personalizing the space with mantras or religious scriptures according to your beliefs is also recommended, while ensuring the overall design remains clutter-free and simple. LED strip lights can be used to highlight specific areas like religious paintings or deity idols.

Being a religious person, I’ve always dreamt of a serene and spiritually uplifting ambiance in my Pooja room. I’ve designed my Pooja room and can share a few Pooja room wall decoration ideas with you.

What are Some of the Wall Decor for Pooja Room?

  • Mandala Art:

I painted mandala art on my Pooja room wall. As this can be very calming to look at.

  • Divine Images:

On one wall, I displayed divine photographs of Lakshmi and Narayana in elegant frames.

  • Floating shelves:

To display any holy items such as religious texts, I’ve also installed floating shelves on the wall.

  • Lighting:

To draw attention to particular areas, such as a religious painting or the idol of a deity, I installed LED strip lights.

  • Garland:

To give the Pooja room a festive feel, I’ve also displayed ornaments like flower garlands, beaded strings, or torans (door hangings).

  • Mantras:

Being a Ganesh bhakt, I’ve also written Ganesh stotra on my Pooja wall.

I'd say you should personalise the decorations according to your beliefs and preferences. I followed these ideas, however, I also ensured that the space is clutter free, and simple.
