You can decorate the jhanki with various objects mentioned below. Mere placement of these things on the jhanki will accentuate its beauty. Here are the things you can use:

You can make a DIY janmashtami jhanki by following the steps given below :

The first step is taking a big piece of strong, dry cardboard and cutting the shape of the palki. Cut out a rectangle piece for the jhoola and some smaller side pieces to create a small rectangular box. You will need to cut out a back support for the Krishna murti as well.

Further, you will need to glue all the pieces together and make sure everything has been correctly aligned.

Pierce two holes on the side pieces. You will need to put a ribbon or a small rope through these holes and tie them to a beam. Your jhoola or Krishna Palki is now ready.

Now that the structure of the Palki is ready, you can paint the jhoola with some acrylic paint and make patterns.You can decorate with the help of gold or silver metallic paint. This will give a shine to your Krishna Palki
