1. Take a dry microfiber cloth to first remove dust and debris from the cabinet surface. Don’t forget corners and around hardware.

2. Next, you must combine warm water with some drops of dish soap or white vinegar.

3. Dip a fresh cloth or a sponge into this solution and wring it out well. Wipe the cabinets with the cloth or sponge. 

4. If there are greasy spots on the cabinet’s surface, apply undiluted ammonia or baking soda to a wet sponge and scrub it gently over the spots.

5. Rinse the surface with water and wipe dry with a clean towel.

6. If the stains are deeper, mix ½ cup of baking soda with ¼ cup of water or hydrogen peroxide to make a paste. 

7. Apply with a sponge or toothbrush. 

8. Let it sit for 5 minutes and then wipe it clean and dry.

9. Take a clean, damp cloth to remove any residue. Dry well with a towel to prevent water marks or damage.

• You can now make a paste using baking soda and water, and apply it on areas with tougher stains. After you’re done, wipe down the surface with a  damp cloth.

• Finally, leave the cabinets to dry for a while after cleaning to prevent moisture related issues. 

There are some preventive measures that my mother suggested to avoid yellow stains. I am sharing the same below for your reference.

• Use UV-protected films on windows. This will reduce the exposure to harsh sunlight. 

• Make sure the kitchen room is properly ventilated to minimise humidity.

• Avoid placing cabinets in areas with direct sunlight.
