Here’s how to clean tinted house windows;

  1. Use a soft microfibre cloth or sponge, a mild ammonia-free glass cleaner, and distilled water for streak-free results. Keep a soft-edge rubber squeegee and a spray bottle handy. Avoid paper towels, abrasive pads, or ammonia-based cleaners, as they can scratch or damage the tint over time.

  2. Select a cleaner with the label "safe for tinted windows." To make your own, fill a spray bottle with distilled water and a few drops of mild dish soap. Shake gently to combine.

  3. Lightly mist the window surface with the solution. Avoid soaking the glass too much, especially at the edges, as this could cause the tint film to peel.

  4. Wipe the window gently in circles using a sponge or soft microfibre cloth. This makes it easier to get rid of fingerprints, dust, and grime without damaging the colour.

  5. Start at the top of the window and pull the squeegee down in straight, smooth strokes. After each pass, wipe the blade with a clean cloth to prevent streaks.

  6. Finish by wiping around the edges with a dry microfibre cloth to remove any remaining moisture or streaks.

Tinted windows remain bright, appealing, and damage-free with routine light cleaning.
