First, pour the refinisher into a cup and place a steel wool inside.
You need to let the wool sit in the cup for a while.
Then, with the help of steel wool, rub the smoky area of the furniture gently. This may take a while, depending on the damage. You might have to repeat the process until all the black residue comes out.
After you clean off the smoke stains, you need to wax the surface.
Once done, just leave the furniture to dry under the sun for a few minutes. This will restore the shine.
