To keep your sliding door tracks in good operating order, you should ideally clean them at least four times a year. The below process my mother performs every month at least once to clean the track of our sliding door:
She first vacuums the bottom of our door and the inside of the track.
She then creates a homemade remedy by combining half vinegar and half water.
Next, she uses a soft cloth to clean the track and the bottom of the door in order to get rid of any dirt or accumulation.
After that, she cleans the rollers on the bottom of the door and carefully dries the door tracks.
Finally, she asks me to coat the track with a thin layer of lubrication oil. It helps our door slide smoothly.
