I apply vinegar on the grout and scrub it with a brush. But sometimes, the grease is tough to get rid of, so in that case, I make a paste of vinegar and baking soda, and apply it over the grout. It works perfectly; just make sure to not make the paste too thick. I learned these tricks on how to clean bathroom grout with vinegar from my mom, and I’d be happy to share.

Cleaning Bathroom Tile Grout with Vinegar: 3 Simple Methods

The simplest and easiest way to clean the tile grout is using just the vinegar. But it works if the grout is less greased. I am sharing all the three methods ‌here.

Vinegar and Brush

This is a daily practice I follow to prevent a buildup. Here’s how you can do it.

  1. First, apply the vinegar on the surface, then leave it for 10 minutes.

  2. Then, you can use a toothbrush or any brush to scrub the grout.

  3. Once you’re done, just take a rag to wipe the loosened dirt.

Vinegar and Baking Soda

I use this method once a month; All you have to do is.

  1. Make a mixture by combining two tablespoons of baking soda with about one tablespoon of water.

  2. Now, apply the paste on the surface with your fingers, and spray a mixture of vinegar and water onto the paste. It usually takes around 5 minutes for the vinegar and baking soda to react.

  3. Then, you can scrub the grout with a toothbrush.

Vinegar and Lemon Juice

This is another method I recently tried, and it’s very simple.

  1. Just combine 3 cups of hot water, 1/2 cup baking soda, 1/6 cup of vinegar, and 1/3 cup lemon juice.

  2. Now, use this mixture on a spray bottle and apply it over the grout.

  3. Then, scrub the grout, as I explained above, and that’s it.

That’s all the methods I know. I also get a bathroom cleaning service done every 3-4 months, and it helps me prevent the buildup. I hope this works for you. Let me know if you have any other tips.
