How to Change My Mobile No in SBI Account?

However, I went to the closest SBI ATM to have my number changed because my internet was down. If you are facing the same problem, you can follow the below-mentioned offline steps:

• Visit the SBI ATM closest to you.

• Put the SBI Debit Card in.

• Choose your preferred language.

• Select 'Registration' from the available options.

• Enter your ATM pin.

• Now, proceed with selecting the "Mobile Number Registration" option from the list of options.

• Further that, select the "Change Mobile Number."

• Provide your mobile number and confirm the same.

• You will now get an OTP to your mobile number.

• Within four hours, you must submit the reference number and OTP that you got to 567676 in the following format: "ACTIVATE IOTP VALUE + REF NUMBER."

• Tap on "Confirm." It will be changed in two to three working days.

SBI is where I have a bank account. You should be aware that if you have an account with the State Bank of India (SBI), there's a strong possibility you've registered your phone number with your SBI account to receive real-time transaction information. Is it, however, possible to change a cell phone number associated with an SBI account? This was my concern and inquiry, as I badly needed to know how to change registered mobile number in SBI.

I learned that there are 2 methods for the same. The first is to go to the Online SBI portal, and the second is to go to the nearest ATM if you don't have access to Internet banking on the SBI portal. Both strategies are successful while learning how to change SBI mobile number.

As long as you have SMS banking enabled, you will continue to get frequent transaction updates on the new number once the mobile number has been updated.

While I was researching how to change mobile number in bank accounts, that is in SBI, I opted for the online SBI portal for changing the number. It's worth noting that, to alter your registered cellphone number using this approach, you'll need a valid SBI internet banking username and password. If you don't have one, you can get one made at your local bank branch. I proceeded with the instructions below, which I learned while researching how to change phone number in bank account.

• Entered a valid username and password to access the 

• Then I selected Profile > Personal Details from the drop-down menu

• After entering my Profile password, I saw my listed Display Name, Email Address, and Phone Number

• After which, I selected the 'Change Mobile Number-Domestic Only (Through OTP/ATM)' link

• On the new screen, I was asked to enter the new cellphone number twice, then clicked on the submit button

• A pop-up window appeared, asking to "Verify and confirm your mobile number xxxxxxxxxx'.

• I selected Ok and continue.

• A new screen appeared, with three options for approving a change of mobile number: (a) OTP on both the mobile number and (b) IRATA: Internet Banking Request Approval through ATM

Now, I selected the OTP on both the mobile number option, to change the phone number. Followed the below-mentioned steps;

• I selected 'By OTP on both the Mobile Numbers' from the circular button and clicked 'Proceed'

• After which selected the account for which you have a debit card by selecting the button, then click 'Proceed'

• I was taken to SBI's ATM card Validation page, where I found a list of active and closed ATM cards linked to the specified bank account

• Then I selected 'Confirm' after clicking on the active ATM card

• The number of the selected ATM card will be shown

• Clicked the 'Proceed' option after entering the card details (Expiry Date, Card Holder Name, PIN, and Enter the text)

• The validation was successful, hence the system sent an OTP along with a reference number to both my old and new mobile numbers.

• Once that's done, I was required to send SMS using the following format from both new and old mobile numbers: ACTIVATE an 8-digit OTP and a 13-digit reference number to 567676 within 4 hours, for example. UM12051500123 ACTIVATE 12345678

• The new mobile number was copied into Internet Banking, Core Banking Solution, and ATM. As my SMS validation was successful, I also received a successful message on my cellphone number

Follow these steps to change the registered phone number in the bank. However, do not get confused and consider this step while learning about how to change bank account number. A bank account number and a registered mobile number in a bank account are two different things.
