Hello, I am here to help you understand the MSEDCL name change online process. I did the same by going to the Mahavitaran app and placing an application to change the name on the bill. I’ve written the stepwise process below.
Open the app and register yourself by filling in your consumer number, mobile number, e-mail ID, login name and password. You’ll receive an OTP on your phone and e-mail. Fill them in the particular spaces provided and click on ‘Submit’. Make sure you enter the mobile number, which is in the records of the MSEDCL.
After this, go to the menu by clicking the button on the top-left corner of your screen. Scroll down and click on ‘Apply for Name Change’.
You will see your consumer ID on the screen. Select it.
The ‘Form U’ for change of name will appear.
Fill in all the information asked in the form, such as your consumer name, postal address, email address, phone number and the reason for transfer.
Click on ‘Submit’.
After you submit your application, you will see your 8-digit application number. Note it down for future reference.
Click on ‘Back to Main Menu’.
Go to the ‘Apply for Name Change’ section again and click on your consumer ID.
Scroll down and find the document section. Click on ‘Upload Now’.
Upload the document by clicking on ‘Choose’. This will take you to your phone documents, from where you can select the document. You can choose to upload any of these documents.
