All three LPG providers in our country– HP Gas, Indane Gas, and Bharat Gas – allow the customers to avail the facility of connection transfer. They not only allow customers to switch addresses, but they may also change an agency or distributor if they want to.
Gas Connection Address Change ProcessThe process is easy and common to all three LPG providers:
To transfer a gas connection, you are required to go to your LPG distributor. Submit your regulator and gas cylinder to the distributor and collect the money you deposited before.
Obtain the e-CTA (e-Customer Transfer Advise) issued from the existing distributor i.e. authorization code on the production of a Subscription Voucher (SV). If you are shifting to another city, you will be issued a Termination Voucher (TV) by the gas distributor in the current city.
Visit the nearby gas agency in your new area and show them the Subscription Voucher you obtained from your previous provider. You can use the existing Domestic Gas Consumer Card at the new place after it has been endorsed by the new distributor.
For the reconnection, you will have to pay the deposit amount specified on the Termination Voucher. Collect the new SV, and obtain the LPG transfer connection issued in your name.
