Why do Companies Sell Land on the Moon?
Companies sell Moon Land because it is marketed as a one-of-a-kind gift, novelty, or nostalgic product. The 1967 Outer Space Treaty prohibits countries from claiming ownership of the Moon. But I found some sellers argue it does not specifically mention individuals. However, this does not grant buyers legal ownership. The industry is also successful because firms do not buy lunar land. Instead, they mostly spend on certifications, private records, and digital products. What are You Paying for When You Buy Moon Land?
You can find the following things in a symbolic lunar-land package:- Plot map: This indicates the location of a symbolic lunar parcel.

- Personalised certificate: It displays the owner's name and the corresponding Moon plot ownership.
- Decorative deed: This refers to a document designed to resemble a property deed, typically for promotional purposes.
- Novelty value: You get to have the pleasure of flaunting owning Moon land.
